EU pressures Turkey to delay judicial changes

The European Union has sent several letters to Ankara over concerns that proposed legislation would threaten judicial independence in the country. Turkey’s prime minister has put the changes on hold and reassured the EU of his intentions. Hundreds of top police and prosecutors leading a major corruption probe were recently reassigned as noted in earlier posts.
