COP on the wane in the UK?

Tight budgets are cutting into some traditional police services in the UK. In Shropshire, police station hours are being reduced because “Keeping people safe is the focus of Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police and this is an opportunity to deliver a more consistent, professional service.” According to a local newspaper poll, 77% of readers agree that “community policing is a thing of the past.”
