Disappearances unresolved in Mexico

The International Crisis Group has spotlighted the ongoing crisis in Mexico, especially Guerrero State, regarding unsolved murders and disappearances. The country officially has 26,000 unsolved missing person cases, while the murder conviction rate is only 16%. In Guerrero, only 7% of murders over the last decade have resulted in convictions and 94% of all crimes go unreported.
