Police abuses in Kenya

This commentary by the country coordinator of Physicians for Human Rights alleges “entrenched impunity in Kenya’s Police Service.” The column details a decade of police abuses, including over 190 police killings since the beginning of 2015, 150 of which are described as summary executions.

    The real test of a democracy seems to be the way its policing is carried out- some countries are democratic only in name.
