Auxiliary police in Myanmar

This article reports that the government in Myanmar is training a new auxiliary police contingent in the northwestern state of Rakhine, where ethnic clashes between Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims have increased. Entrance standards are lower than for the regular police and residents are split on whether the auxiliaries will be reliable and effective.
