Police executive development in Africa

This article reports completion of the 5th Police Senior Command and Staff Course, a 1-year program hosted by the Rwanda National Police College, with 26 graduates representing 10 countries. According to the college’s commandant, “The ultimate goal is to prepare officers to effectively operate within a policing environment that is becoming increasingly sophisticated and challenging.” The graduates were urged to “be catalysts of law enforcement for the wellbeing of the people in their respective countries and Africa in general.”
